    Death By Chocolate Dessert Dip <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The holiday season is the best time for dessert dips – although an argument can be made for the summer months with potlucks and picnics. It’s a large recipe for a crowd and plates up perfectly for entertaining. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ingredients for Death by Chocolate Dessert Dip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    This dessert dip has only seven ingredients, all of which are decadent and perfect for scooping up with chocolate cookies or shortbread. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • chocolate frosting<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • chocolate milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • instant coffee granules<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • instant chocolate pudding mix<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • brownie bites<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Heath or Skor chocolate bar<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • cookies and biscuits for serving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Change up the Chocolate!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      While the traditional Death by Chocolate dessert (Mort au Chocolat<\/strong>), invented in 1981 by chefs at Les Anges restaurant in Santa Monica, California, consists of genoise, meringue, ganache, buttercream, and mousse, you can top this dessert dip with whatever chocolate you want. Feel free to play around with the flavors of the chocolate bars that you chop up and use on top!<\/p>\n\n<\/div>

      Make This Ahead of Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      This is best when made ahead of time, as the ingredients can set and firm up, making the dip the right consistency. However, this shouldn’t be made earlier than the night before you need to serve the dip, as the ingredients can start to separate after too long in the fridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you have leftovers, you can refrigerate them for up to 2 days. If they separate, simply whisk them together, then enjoy them as a dip once again.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>

      Ingredient Tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Some of the ingredients come in packages of different sizes in different countries. Use ones that are as close to what I have listed as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The pudding is INSTANT<\/strong>; do not use pudding mix that has to be cooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      I did not use whipped frosting<\/em>; I used the normal creamy one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This has not been tested with low-fat cream cheese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
